A rather large city amongst the [[Gulfithorp Isles]], it is the trading hub to the rest of [[Capsicum]] and where most of the merchant and sea goers of the islands find their place of business in either permanent or tent like structures. Scoville is a lively town of music, street vendors, fine wares, homey company, and very pleasant faces.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Two gates lead to docks on the outside of town. One gate in the back leads to [[Shishito Valley]], the harbor floor is riddled with reefs, so tread carefully.&lt;br /&gt;

Scotch and Bonnet&#039;s- The friendliest tavern this side of Amusa, Scotch (Dragonborn) and Bonnet (Dwarf) are an odd couple with love in their heart and plenty of food and drinks to go around to any weary traveler.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Boats by Barge- Barge (Dwarf and Bonnet&#039;s brother) is a little lost in the head sometimes so he hired Warryn (Halfling) to carry out the day-to-day of the shop. They offer rentals, purchases, and the customization of ships in various sizes. Warryn has a crazy crush on Donella.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Popper Potions- Offering health potions and some of a more &amp;quot;violent nature&amp;quot; for the right coin. The potion master, Kaira (Tiefling) has infinite knowledge of potions and ingredients but has a shaded past that she seems to hide rather well.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sambal Styles- &amp;quot;From sacs to slacks&amp;quot; is the motto of this up-and-coming shop. Expertise tailor, Arno (Halfling) deals mostly in fabrics and textiles but has a talent that can turn anything into well...anything.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Serrano&#039;s- Giving up their sword of adventure and picking up thier hammers of crafting, Bash and Sitah (Half-Orcs) are a couple new in town who have found a love for weapons making. If you catch them on a good day, they will happily challenge you to a feat of strength for a discount.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Gems and Jewels- Lucinda (Elf) is designer and owner of the shop. She is known for her dramatic attitude and outlandish styles. Her assistant, Donella (Halfling) has a bit more of a level head on her shoulders but is very new to the art of design. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Merchant Square- The closest plaza to the mountain gate, the owners of the shops live here. Their employees live in homes closer to the shore, but this is where laws for Scoville are discussed and made. The plaza in the middle acts as the meeting hall.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Outdoor Bazaar- Full of exotic spices, savory food, sweet treats, countless bit and bobbles, the outdoor bazaar has anything and everything for a traveler on a budget.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Harbor- Guarded by two warships, The Chilean and The Arbolean, this is where the town guard sits. There isn&#039;t much of a police presence inside the city, the captains of these ships are trusted with the safety of the town.&lt;br /&gt;

 One night, like any other night in 669, The Argentinian sounds the alarm as a sail ship is set ablaze in the harbor. The Chilean begins to sail away with the assailants on board. Two eyewitnesses, and crew from the Chilean recount how a group of adventures mercilessly attacked their ship and sent these two into the sea. The rest weren&#039;t so lucky. These criminals were dubbed The Pirates of Quelmar.&lt;br /&gt;

This college is noted for being the keepers of knowledge. When asked what knowledge, the simple as is given &amp;quot;The Knowledge&amp;quot;. In the thousands of tomes found in the candle lit rooms has all the past information you could ever want. The weather, birthdays, death days, tides changing. But for those who seek the knowledge without the proper training will sink into madness at the overwhelming amount of information. Only a select few are allowed to look upon the humble pages. However, one you enter, your life belongs to the knowledge.&lt;br /&gt;

The Tower: This is where the main part of the college and collection remain. The books do not leave, neither do the people. Should they leave, they&#039;re minds are not the same as they once were.&lt;br /&gt;

Page Huts: Those in training for the knowledge and known as Pages. They live outside the college in small thatch shacks. Cozy, but not super nice. &lt;br /&gt;

The Pages: Pages are initiates to the college. They do the chores for the college, send and receive messages, run errands for the scholar&#039;s inside. After they are proven worthy, or another member passes on, they may be given a chance to join the ranks. Some wait a lifetime.&lt;br /&gt;

The Turners: These are apprentices to the college higher ups. They are officially in the college and in training to keep the knowledge and uphold the sacred bond of pen and paper. Once you become a Turner, you take a vow of silence as to never share the knowledge with outsiders under penalty of madness.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Markers: These are the writers of the knowledge. Messages will come to them from The Turners. It&#039;s unclear how the Turners receive these messages, but the words are given to the Markers through a unique unspoken language using gestures and facial expressions. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Keepers: These scholars organize the knowledge as it changes. Books flying off the shelves and being moved one right after the other in what looks like a synchronized motion without a single word.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Encyclopedia: The Dean of the College and master of the knowledge. No one knows who the Encyclopedia is...except one unlucky sailor, and one very lucky builder. The Encyclopedia is responsible for the continuation of the knowledge.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Voice: The Voice is an Air Genasi contracted to the college through a spiritual bond. They are the physical voice of the college to outsiders who are worthy of learning some the tower&#039;s darker secrets.&lt;br /&gt;

 The Pirates one day entering the college seeking the on called The Encyclopedia. They were met with The Voice and given a brief tour, a rare experience. Inside a book was stolen and the crew were snapped out into the meadow, one person missing. When turning to look around the college again, the books and people were gone.&lt;br /&gt;

Gorton met an old friend who know goes by the name, The Encyclopedia.&lt;br /&gt;

They created the Bounty Guild, noted by their red sashes with white dragon skulls and black lettering of B.G. &lt;br /&gt;

 After the incident in Scoville, The Brothers (as their called by the locals) were hired to find the Pirates of Quelmar. Rhogar went searching the island as Balasar took to the sea. The Pirates managed to narrowly escape Rhogar&#039;s grasp with what most may call &amp;quot;sheer dumb luck&amp;quot;. Balasar, on the other hand, lost his ship, his crew, and his life in hunting the Pirates of Quelmar.&lt;br /&gt;

Serrano&#039;s- Giving up their sword of adventure and picking up thier hammers of crafting, Bash and Sitah (Half-Orcs) are a couple new in town who have found a love for weapons making. If you catch them on a good day, they will happily challenge you to a feat of strength for a discount.&lt;br /&gt;

Gems and Jewels- Lucinda (Elf) is designer and owner of the shop. She is known for her dramatic attitude and outlandish styles. Her assistant, Donella (Halfling) has a bit more of a level head on her shoulders but is very new to the art of design. &lt;br /&gt;

Merchant Square- The closest plaza to the mountain gate, the owners of the shops live here. Their employees live in homes closer to the shore, but this is where laws for Scoville are discussed and made. The plaza in the middle acts as the meeting hall.&lt;br /&gt;

Outdoor Bazaar- Full of exotic spices, savory food, sweet treats, countless bit and bobbles, the outdoor bazaar has anything and everything for a traveler on a budget.&lt;br /&gt;

Harbor- Guarded by two warships, The Chilean and The Argentinian, this is where the town guard sits. There isn&#039;t much of a police presence inside the city, the captains of these ships are trusted with the safety of the town.&lt;br /&gt;

Throughout the various ages, especially [[BR|Before the Reckoning]] when dragoons roamed free, many consider the Gulfithorp “peppers” to actually be dragon peppers. Scores of adventurers attempted to sack the islands and steal the crops from the local farmers due to the dragon peppers’ magical qualities. However, when those adventurers eventually returned to their homes they brought ordinary Gulfithorp peppers back with them, sweet and spicy varieties but containing no magic whatsoever.  &lt;br /&gt;

The five islands were hotly contested throughout the major wars of Quelmar’s past. Their strategic position between [[Amusa]] and [[Levinkan]] guards the sea passages between the continents and their thousands of miles of coasts and inlets make them a haven for those attempting to evade capture or hide their riches from prying eyes.  &lt;br /&gt;

The local farmers have for years been self-reliant and self-governing. Small clan-like communities and kinship ties are loosely spread across the islands with no real governing structure to speak of. The internal politics of the Gulfithorps are incredibly peaceful. Each island, aside from Dorsetnaga to the north, has a stable population with plenty of natural resources to sustain their communities. And because Dorsetnaga&#039;s population is so sparse, its inhabitants have no need to compete for resources, however they do contend with the roughest seas and harshest weather of any of the islands. &lt;br /&gt;

The region’s “capital city” of Scoville is really only a capital in name—it is simply the largest urban center on any of the islands, and thus where most of the trade and interaction with beings from other parts of the realm occurs.     &lt;br /&gt;
