Spell-Storage from Memories
9th-Level Enchantment

Casting Time: 24 Hours

Range: Self

Components: V, S, M (a memory and a magically chargeable item)

Duration: Instantaneous

Invented by Archmage Nimz

This spell is capable of converting chronologically recorded instances of magical events, such as watching someone cast a spell, and interpreting those memories in the form of an item. This spell allows the caster to imbue one scroll, wand, staff, or other item with 1d4 charges of a spell that the caster has personally witnessed before. Once imbued, the caster forgets that immediate memory, and the item is charged.

In addition, if the caster instead uses memories of non-magical events, such as a campfire or a flood, the spell can map the memories to a relatable charging at the DM's discretion. (More often than not, the memory will be interpreted wrong, so instead of a spell hoping to recreate the boulder attacks of giants, it becomes instead a spell of "Enhanced Strength", mapping the giant's strength and not the boulder attack itself.)

Elzanque-El's Glyph of Debitas
Casting Time: 1 hour

Range: Touch

Components: V, S, M (ink or pigment for the inscription, 1 ounce of magnetized iron and 200 powdered gold pieces,
which the spell consumes)

Duration: Until dispelled

Invented by Elza

As you cast this spell, you inscribe a glyph of debitas on orwithin an object you are holding, similarly to the symbol spell. The object should be one which can be easily stowed orhidden, such as a small card or plaque, a blank page in abook, or a piece of jewelry. If you attempt to cast this spell onan object that already has magical properites of any kind(including a curse or another spell such as symbol or glyph ofwarding) it fails with a puff of silver smoke, and does notconsume the materials required.A glyph of debitas can be no more than 6 inches indiameter, and may be any symbol, inscription, or uniquecharacter that links to or identifies an individual with anIntelligence score of 7 or higher, who is then treated as theowner of the glyph. The glyph is nearly invisible to anycreature or construct other than the owner, requiring a DC 20Intelligence (Investigation) check to see it, and a successfulDC 20 Intelligence (Arcana) check once found to discern thefunction of the glyph. Creatures who know of this spell or thedebidraw spell and have seen either of their effects before donot need to make the Intelligence (Arcana) check to discernthe glyph's function. The glyph acts as a miniature gateway to a micro-planeunder the jurisdiction of Garl Glitterhold, Gnomish god ofprotection, trickery, and most importantly, wealth. Thegateway will only accept objects smaller than 1 foot indiameter, and it will only accept objects that can beconsidered forms of wealth (coins, gemstones with monetaryvalue, etc). These may be "deposited" into the micro-plane bytouching the glyph in one hand, holding the object or objectsin another hand, and reciting the command word debitas.(This may be done one at a time or in lump sums by usingmundane containers like small pouches or boxes.) Theobjects "deposited" into the micro-plane retain full valuewhile inside.By linking themselves to a glyph of debitas, the ownerenters into a contract of sorts with Garl Glitterhold, who, inexchange for securing the micro-plane from thieves and otherhazards, exacts a small fee every time wealth is extractedfrom this glyph using the debidraw spell. The glyph cannot be removed and the object it is inscribedon cannot be destroyed by non-magical means, except by theowner. Any attempt by a creature that is not the owner to non-magically remove the glyph or destroy the object it isinscribed on incurs 1 psychic damage (per attempt). Thisdamage cannot be resisted or prevented in any way. Iftargeted by a dispel magic spell cast using a spell slot of 5th-level or lower, glyph of debitas also adds the owner of theglyph's proficiency modifier to the spellcasting ability checkDC of dispel magic.
Invented by Elza

You touch a glyph of debitas that you own and speak thecommand word debidraw while visualizing in your mind theexact amount and type of currency you wish to "withdraw"from the micro-plane. As long as the micro-plane inside yourglyph contains the equivalent of the amount and type ofcurrency you have visualized while casting this spell, theamount will be spoken out loud as a "confirmation" in acackling whisper that only you can hear.Within seconds, invoking the contract between yourselfand Garl Glitterhold, Gnomish god of protection and wealth, the amount and type of currency appears in an appropriately-sized magical container in front of you marked with the glyphyou used to cast this spell, and the equivalent of the"withdrawal" disappears from your micro-plane. The magicalcontainer is only visible to you, since it only partially exists onthe material plane, and disappears when emptied. If you donot empty the container within 1 minute, the glyph willdisappear and the container will become non-magical andvisible to all. If this happens, it still disappears when emptied. In exchange for securing the micro-plane from thieves andother hazards, Garl Glitterhold's contract with you exacts asmall fee every time wealth is extracted from the glyph usingthis spell. As this spell is cast, after the "confirmation" isheard aloud, an additional 2% of the expected "withdrawn"wealth is removed from your micro-plane, and enters intoGarl's Glittering hold.
Range: Unlimited
Components: V, S, M (Something of the head, something of the thread, something of the body, and something of the dead from the target)

Duration: Instantaneous

Invented by mages at The Shadowfell for The Hunt for Zugs

Drawing from the timeless matter of the Astral Plane, the caster may open a window in the life of a target from which they have collected a variety of material components from. Once the components are gathered and the ritual has been completed, the window shows the life of the target, played out in fast motion, as if their life was "flashing before" the caster's eyes. The visions consist of the moment the target was born, all the way until the target's death, only hindered by areas and enchantments of nondetection, which prevent that moment in time from being viewed.

Swarm of Monkeys
Invented by Doraleous after being begged by Anema to tamper with summoning magics (a favorite of the bard).

Summon Greater Devil
4th level conjuration (ritual)

Casting time: 1 hour

Range: 10 feet

Components: V, S, M (a vial of blood from a great hero
killed within the past 24 hours)

Duration: 1 hour

Used to summon Belial the Devourer during Sparklesmas in 1251 PR.

You utter foul words, summoning one devil by name from the Ten Hells. The devil appears in an unoccupied space you can see within range, and the devil disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.

As part of casting the spell, you can form a 5-foot-radius circle on the ground with the blood used as a material component. Using the material component in this manner consumes it when the spell ends. The circle affects the devil in the following ways: The devil can’t willingly exit the cylinder by nonmagical means. If the devil tries to use teleportation or interplanar travel to do so, it must first succeed on a Charisma saving throw. While in the circle, the devil has disadvantage on attack rolls against targets outside the circle. Targets outside the circle can’t be charmed, frightened, or possessed by the devil while it is in the circle.
Duration: Instantaneous

A special spell devised by students and faculty at Laergul, where it was known as the Nota Marrone composition.

A sudden low and dull note, painfully intense, erupts from a point of your choice within 15 feet. Each creature in a 15-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 1d6 force damage on a failed save and becomes poisoned until the end of its next turn. The creature takes half as much damage and no poison effect on a successful save. A creature without bowels or an intestinal tract is unaffected by this spell.

Istishia's Sphere
An aquatic spell which was a specialty of The Paladin when he was in possession of The Wand of the Spout.

6th level transmutation (ritual)

DURATION: 1 Minute

CASTING TIME: 1 Action

SCHOOL: Evocation

RANGE: Self

You conjure up a shimmering sphere of water and force with a 10-foot radius that surrounds you. The sphere can hover no
more than 10 feet off the ground. The sphere remains for the spell's duration.
Any creature who enters the sphere's space must make a Strength saving throw. On a successful save, a creature is
ejected from that space to the nearest unoccupied space of the creature's choice outside the sphere. A Huge or larger
creature succeeds on the saving throw automatically, and a Large or smaller creature can choose to fail it. On a failed
save, the caster can choose to restrain the creature or push it out of the sphere. At the end of each of its turns, a
restrained target can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success.
As a bonus action, the sphere can be hardened into resilient magical ice. While frozen in the ice ball, nothing—not physical
objects, energy, or other spell effects—can pass through the ice, in or out, though a creature in the sphere can breathe
there. The sphere is immune to all damage, and a creature or object inside cant be damaged by attacks or effects
originating from outside, nor can a creature inside the sphere damage anything outside it.
While in ice form, you can move the sphere up to 120 feet in a straight line as an action. If it moves over a pit, a cliff, or
other drop-off, it safely descends until it is hovering 10 feet above the ground. Any creature restrained by the sphere
moves with it. You can ram the sphere into creatures, forcing them to make a dexterity saving throw (DC 21) against
taking 4d10 bludgeoning damage, which is halved on a successful save.
The globe can be picked up and moved by other creatures.
A disintegrate spell targeting the globe destroys it without harming anything inside it.

Components: V, S

Duration: 1 round

You create a burst of powder that explodes, confusing and harming a creature within range. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d4 force damage and suffer disadvantage on the first attack roll it makes before the end of your next turn. Causes Light obscurement for the square you are standing in due to the smoke puff.

This spell's damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).

Tristram's Glitter Bomb
Evocation cantrip

Casting time: 1 Action

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

You point at a creature within range, and they are assailed with a magical storm of glitter. They must make an Intelligence save or take 1d6 psychic damage and be confused, unable to take reactions until the start of their next turn. Surviving targets of this spell will find a piece or two of glitter at random intervals in random locations on themselves for the rest of their life.

At Higher Levels. The spells damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).

Duration: Instantaneous

You cast a minor spell to slightly inconvenience a single creature that you can see. When you cast this spell, one of the following happens.

- You make the creature stumble – not enough that they trip or are slowed, but enough that others notice.

- You make the creature accidentally bite their tongue or the inside of their cheek.

- You make the creature temporarily forget one word and have it be on the tip of their tongue. They will remember it after one minute.

- If the creature is eating or drinking, you make them get their food or drink on their clothes.

- You make a small rock appear in their shoe.

- You magically summon a harmless fly to buzz around the creature’s head. No matter how hard the creature tries, it cannot kill the fly. After one minute, the fly disappears.

Choke
3rd-level evocation
Range: 60 feet

Components: V, S

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You raise your hand and forcefully choke up to six creatures of your choice within range, elevating them several inches off the ground. A creature targeted by this spell must make a Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 force damage and at the beginning of your next turns and be restrained until the spell ends. On successful save, a targeted creature takes half as much damage and is not restrained. A creature may repeat this saving throw at the end of their turn to end the spell on themselves.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, its damage increases by 2d6 and you can target one more creature for each level above 3th.

Duration: Until Dispelled

You imbue a sealed container of size medium or smaller with the time manipulating abilities of the bronze dragonflight. As long as that container remains sealed, food and drink within the container ages at twice its normal rate.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the rate of aging doubles for each slot level above 2nd.
Spell-Storage from Memories
Casting Time: 24 Hours

While the ruins of the Cainhurst Estate have laid unoccupied for over a hundred years, expeditions to the caste have become possible because the incredibly territorial adult dragon Valanym, who included the Forest of Bloodbrambles in their terratory, was slain by a band of adventurers in the year 802 PR. This has allowed easier travel to the estate but also a greater number of foolhardy adventures dying there.

The Phantasmatrope is a magical item resembling a zoetrope. It was created by a long dead necromancer with an interest in channeling living souls through artifice. Not only does it allow the wielder to visualize spirits, ghosts, and poltergeists with perfect clarity, it can also be used to forcefully eject all nearby souls from their body/host form. It is considered incredibly dangerous because this separation of body and soul does not produce any tether between them (like the astral projection spell's silver cord) and thus can lead to souls being put in the wrong body. Especially concerning is the ejection only last for as long as the Phantasmatrope spins (which is longer then a normal zoetrope but not excessively so) before souls are pulled to the nearest body.

The result is one deck that channels the positive effects of both decks, insuring a wonderous outcome, and one deck that channels the negative effects of both decks, insuring a horrendous outcome. Because the decks are linked, they must remain near one another (within 100 miles) or they lose their effects until they are reunited. While many of the effects present in the deck are identical to a normal deck, they also seem to have new, more extreme outcomes echoing their nature as aberrant constructs of good and evil. The Cainhurst Collection is the common name referring to the large number of artifacts, relics, and treasures that reside inside the ruins of the Cainhurst estate. The collection's manifest is all but lost with the death of Lord Lynwick Cainhurst after rumors spread he consorted with blood demons and he was executed for heresy. Despite the loss of it's master, the collection remains illusive to most as the Cainhurst estate lays within Cainhurst Keep atop the Mountain of Bone in the Forest of Bloodbrambles. In addition to its dangerous local, the keep is still guarded by the extensive number of traps Lord Cainhurst developed as well as his menagerie of monster companions that escaped their captivity and now wander the estate. Some pieces of the collection have surfaced as well as rumors of other items rumored to still be in the estate.
Chapter 1 focused on introducing and growing the player base to the core concepts of the campaign: There is a big dragon war, and dragons are back and crawling all over Isonhound. This is a campaign with lots of wilderness exploration, and LOTS of big bads to slay.
With countless activities to partake in, the fun is never ending....unless, of course, you hear the siren.
When called to action, a group of five brave warriors, tasked with helping the town's own overwhelmed militia, stomped down to local Varryn'<nowiki/>s neighborhood and help rescue his own kin from being extorted and attacked by the great dragon Velathidros. It took their combined forces (and the morale boost of trusty lionkin Kris) to tear him down, but dramatically they prevailed, opening the door now to further adventures...into the Greedy Green!
When called to action, a group of five brave warriors, tasked with helping the town's own overwhelmed militia, fled to the city's capital building to evacuate any possible civilians, they learned just how powerful the Silver Greatwyrm Sro could be.
<u>Important Things that Happened:</u> Welcome to Synàra, a central hub of regrowth in the middle of the Woldlin domain of Isonhound. Every year, the great festival of Asar Ogalas brings together the locals, and brings in the curious. With countless activities to partake in, the fun is never ending....unless, of course, you hear the siren.

<u>Important Things that Happened</u>: In the city of Deeplake, important scientific progress is happening at the Church of Innovation, but at this particular branch, all is not as it seems. When the scientists began to push harder on the players to kill all the blue dragons (even the babies) a series of interrogations showed that this Church was compromised by an unseen force---The Green Stag. However, besides uncovering conspiracies, the team also took the time to investigate the blue dragon's old lair, finding it inhabited by a dangerous Behir, a monster who nearly wiped the team out before they put it six-feet-under. Having now taken some Caeruleam for themselves, the group begins to look more into its uses and benefits.

<u>Important Things that Happened</u>: Rising high in the Isonhound mountains, Sro keeps his own precious lair...of MAYORS. Sneaking up to Sro's home, the group of heroes rush into danger, alerting Sro's own ward along the way. Though tensions were high among the team, with Dragon Lovers vying for the praise and attention of the Great Sro, while the Dragon Slayers looked for any opportunity to slice him down. By Sro's own admission, perhaps the world IS ready to fight dragons again, and for passing his curated test (and lesson) of strength, the team took home Mayor Ludvater to his poor heartbroken wife.

<u>Important Things that Happened</u>: A hoard is raided! Escorting the greedy Topaz dragon to his lair on the coast, the team fought alongside the dragon to tear up some goblins who had raided its lair in its absence, and when the dragon wasn't looking...took a little bit for themselves! However, when Mallen is caught raided a shelf, the once allied dragon turned on the group, quickly beginning the retreat! High tensions, epic stakes, and one magic arrow of blinding later...we were all alive, on the SS No Sink, and on our way out, with well over 500 GP worth of gems and artifacts successfully stolen.
Session 5: Bleucorundum
<u>Important Things that Happened</u>: A child?! With an Egg!? You betcha. It wasn't Pelota, it wasn't Toblerone, it was TARIAN! After interviewing all 6 suspects, the heroic teams known as "The Awesome Tieflings", "The Dragon Mushers", and "Hot Blood" combined all the clues they had individually gathered in order to crack the case. Unfortunately for them, the Awesome Tieflings also happened to let Tarian's wiles and charms convince them to let him out of his house. So now instead of tracking him down at home, the team braved the wilds, tracking the child through the woods until they came very close to the lair of the great Sapphire guardian. Fighting one of the dragon's thralls, a PHASE GELATINOUS CUBE, everyone barely survived, and decided in the end, that the egg belonged with the dragon, and Tarian was doing the right thing after all.

* It turns out "King Glub" or whoever he was, has been dead, and the Kobolds were defending its egg, still nestled under the boney corpse of its mother.
* HOWEVER, the egg itself had already been compromised, having been destroyed by a creature calling himself "The Green Stag"
* Draconian armies sometimes escape into the world and cause terror in the name of the dragons as part of the big ongoing war against the realm.
* The coastal towns of Fasiltum and Jakalla were attacked in this latest wave, Jakalla was a total loss, despite the best efforts of those present.
* This particular army of Draconians appeared to be led by Harkial, a destructive young red dragon.
* Legends of "Pinky the Dragon Slayer" are going around now, about a single soldier who slayed a dragon (in truth, he was just the one manning a cannon that happened to land a death blow)
* The team sailed the Titicaca River
* Some of the players learned about Wovenstone and Caeruleum.
* Kris is retired to side research on the power sources mentioned above.
* The team did encounter Hydrinth the Bronze Dragon, who was on a mission to destroy the slave-labor mines that were hiding out near Nightfall station. When Tordek discovers that the mines collapsed and people may be inside, the group melded underground to find and save the last survivors, including a very special Shifter.

<u>Important Things that Happened</u>:

* Party caught word of a tavern owner in Seglock that was looking for a group to venture north for an escort mission.
* The tavern owner, a satyr named Rory, asked the party to travel North to Chillcrest Forest and bring his daughter home. Rory’s daughter is a New Dryad named Wisty. She was part of a relief effort in Northern Sylvanry; in an area with a series of recent attacks by unknown creatures.
* The party traveled North to Chillcrest Forest, just as Wisty’s camp was under attack by Lindwurms. The party engaged the Lindwurms on an icy pond just outside the camp. The battle was hard fought and unfortunately Wisty was slain by a Lindwurm just as Va’dath(?) was lunging to protect her.
* The party vanquished the lindwurms and Tordek attempted to revive Wisty but it was too late. It’s possible that something in the Lindwurm’s vile saliva prevented such healing.
* After the dryad perished, a purple sapling began to grow from the corpse. Dancer cut the sapling from Wisty’s body and placed it in a container. With Va’Dath(?) carrying the corpse itself, the party returned to Rory and gave the satyr his daughter’s corpse. He didn’t seem too distraught; claiming that he can have her brought back because “i knows a guy”. The Wisty Sapling…. Well…. It’s in good paws.

<u>Important Things that Happened</u>:

* The party members heeded the request of the Order of the Watchful Eye and reported to the barracks outside their cloister in the town of Gammelgard.
* They met a dwarven alchemist by the name of Falgrim Norest. He is an alchemist in service to the Order and would act as their contact for the mission. He told them the background of why they were requested, what their objectives were and what they might encounter.
* The first thing they encountered was a group of three emaciated orcs. emaciated, under dressed and under armed. They were completely submissive and answered all their questions without resistance. The orcs told them they were run off their land farther up in the mountains. A green dragon called Longfang ran them off with a hoard of nasty odd looking goblins. The group ultimately let them go.
* Following the road, they came into a large clearing about the size of a small village with rough mountain walls rising up all around it. In this clearing they encountered a large group of goblins similar in look to what the orcs had described. And eventually came to a 25 foot statue of a Dwarf outside a massive sealed off stone archway.

<u>Synopsis</u>:

* The group of adventurers found themselves in Indy's home town of Briar Glen. As the sheriff, she was informed that there was some trouble with Gertrude at the general store, so the party decides to go investigate.
* At the general store, Gertrude informs the group of a recent break-in and robbery attempt by a fairly young kobald. Gertrude managed to overpower the kobald and had him incapacitated in a back room, working off his crime.
* The group then decides to talk to the kobald, with Durian and Delphi leading the interrogation and acting as translators of sorts, with their Draconic and telepathic language abilities.
* The kobald identified himself as Do'Ki, and informed the party that he was looking for loot and treasure to bring back to Tragdor, the dragon that ruled over his community. If they failed to appease him, then Tragdor would eat them. A deal was struck with Gertrude to allow Do'Ki to go free, and the party then went to help the kobald community be free from Tragdor.
* Do'Ki led the group to a walled off structure of ruins, claiming this is where his people lived. Here the party split, with Delphi, Indy, Tokax, and Do'Ki deciding to sneak in through the sewer tunnels in the back, and Einari, Dur'Kalak, and Durian disguising themselves as sacrifices to Tragdor and going in the front.
* The plan quickly went awry, and a fight ensued between the kobald community and the party. Some of the kobalds ran away and surrendered, some got sliced to death, and many, many got burned.
* After dealing with the conflict, the group entered a nearby shack and found a concealed staircase, leading to a hidden attic. There the group discovered the true Tragdor, an old wizard looking for 'retirement'
* The party then decided to take Tragdor's bribe of gold and loot, but still dismantled his fake kobald society, and put him under the careful watch of Indy and Briar Glen.
<u>Synopsis</u>:

Ensign's Log, Stardate 2.20.22, for Captain Saldani should it be recovered:

Now that the threat has past and the need for discretion is over, I feel the need to recount the events as I remember them. I had traveled a small Loxo village deep in the forests on reports of a legendary tree that acted as a portal to far flung places. I believed that this tree could hold some potential of returning me to The Sextant so I arrived to take readings and inquire about the phenomenon from the locals. Unfortunately, this effort proved fruitless for my intended goal. However, another opportunity took shape.

A guardian of the village came through the gates carrying the unconscious form of another Loxo, loudly requesting medical assistance. I was closest, and first on the scene to administer aid. Following protocol, I first stabilized the patient's condition with an E.M.A. Since the patient was still unconscious, I began taking scans to determine next steps.

It was then that Reylendor arrived, quickly followed by Cyan and Herneldo. Reylendor is also a medical practitioner (though in a way completely foreign to our way of thinking and more customary for this region) and through our combined efforts we were able to restore the patient to consciousness. He introduced himself as Admiral Herold, and recounted how he was sailing down a nearby river with his "first mate" (apparently the only other member of his crew) when he came under attack by a mysterious and powerful entity.

The other group had come to town in an attempt to fulfill a bounty on a large Green Dragon, and they had heard rumors that it had been spotted in this area. Thankful for the rescue, the Admiral (though, by their own admission, they only had one ship, the status of which was unknown, so I believe the rank of Captain more fitting), invited us all to partake in an evening of alcohol consumption and general camaraderie. It was there, the Captain invited us all to join their crew and help them reclaim their ship. The group agreed on a temporary basis, hoping that the mysterious being that attacked the ship was the green dragon they were seeking.

The next morning, after resolving some earlier misunderstandings, the group met with Kihlek who would act as the guide into this colder northern region. We traveled deep into the woods, and the temperature steadily declined. Being adapted for such conditions, I was not affected, the other members of the crew found the climate less hospitable. I lent the cloak I use to cover my uniform to Reylendor, though it did spark some questions regarding the origins of my clothing.

We arrived at the lake where the Captain reported the attack, and though the ship could not be seen, some debris was found to confirm the location. For some time the group discussed the best plan to get to the island in the middle of the lake without disturbing whatever lurked under the waves. The group began to dig in, but could not figure out how to draw the creature/creatures out of the lake. Taking the initiative, I tossed a nearby stone into the water.

Emerging from the murky lakebed were four adolescent white dragons. We engaged these creatures, but found that we were fairly outmatched and began to fall back. It was then that the green dragon that we had been searching for appeared out of the island in the middle of the lake. We were able to cripple/defeat most of the dragonlings as we fell back, but knowing that we could not take a full adult green dragon, we continued to cautiously retreat. The dragon offered a deal. In exchange for not revealing that we had seen or interacted with them, the dragon would allow us to live. In addition, we would be allowed to loot the cave of the former occupant of the lake, a white dragon (killed by the green dragon).

Seeing this as the best outcome, the captain agreed, and the green dragon flew off, but not without warning us that it knew our scent now, so could track us down if knowledge of the green dragon was leaked. The crew crossed the lake to find a cave system, and within, a considerable amount of currency as well as a few magical items. The body of the White dragon was also in preserved condition, so the crew recovered valuable parts of the beast as well.

After diving up the loot, the group discussed the nearby terrain with local avian wildlife, who reported that a boat was seen run aground further downriver. Our crew was able to retrieve it and find the first mate alive.

I would like to conclude with noting that a damaged artifact was recovered, a crystal orb. After some discussion, it was deemed not worth the risk of further damaging the orb, but it was given to me to repair. It will take time and resources, as I am more a doctor than an engineer, but I believe the orb could be repaired and adapted into our technology. If I am able to repair it, Reylendor and Herneldo have requested use of it.

<u>XP Gained</u>: 4200 (600 each)

<u>Synopsis</u>:

* The group was briefed by the dwarven alchemist Falgrim Norest in Gammelgard and informed that the first group that ventured forth into the foothills of the Northern Snowy Mountains were successful in finding both the entrance to the lost dwarven citadel and the odd, mutated goblins. The task of this group would be similar but in a different area of the foothills.
* The group had an uneventful travel during the two days into the mountains. The night before they reached the suspected entrance, a heavy fog fell over the encampment and surrounding area. Dancer of the Boreal Valley cast Primal Awareness and detected a dragon in their wide vicinity. Even so, no attack came to them.
* The next day the group traveled on further and came to the remnants of a road that snaked up into the mountains in the direction they were going. Following the road they came to a clearing where they found a hoard of goblins fighting a group of orcs. Sneaking into the area, the group attempted to covertly harass the two groups into fighting each other. This had partial success.
* Ultimately, the group was successful in defeating both of the groups which did take to fighting each other.
* Upon traveling farther along, they came to a 25ft statue of a dwarf and sealed stone archway similar to the one the first group found.
* Tordek cast Meld with Stone and merged with the wall. He came out a few moments later claiming that the wall was actually an earth elemental that was tasked with blocking the passage way.

The Soul Star and the Star Child (4/30/22)

This account of events comes from Reylendor Aspenmorrow.

While on the road, Reylendor was ambushed by the Servants, something he feared and suspected would eventually come to pass. He ran into the nearby forest and thankfully stumbled into a band of adventurers, though his pursuers managed to knock him down in the impending conflict. This allowed Att-Annalo’s energy to briefly surge within him before he regained his senses. Two Servants died while two escaped when they saw the battle turning sour for them. When he awoke, he was fully introduced to the adventurers who rescued him: Tordek, Violet, Varryn, Boros, and Siohbhin. Reylendor told them of the Servants’ plots and, not wanting to risk running into them again, decided to accompany them.

Upon arriving in the city to which the adventurers were summoned and rolling his eyes at the homes of wealthy wood elves, Reylendor was greatly put off by the Order. When they described the Soul Star and its origins in the Far Realm, all he saw was another arrogant, magic-obsessed sect determined to meddle with forces beyond their comprehension. Forgetting himself, he launched into a multi-language rant, during which he switched between Common, Elvish, and Abyssal before settling into Deep Speech. Ragnar the Red conversed with him, claiming to understand Reylendor’s hesitations as he had them too before he joined the order. Reylendor didn’t believe him, but chose to quiet himself.

The group then departed for Relith Tower to seek out the means to make another Soul Star and transfer the 299 souls out of Alenka, a star child the Order had been holding at their base. They prevailed against the Bone Naha guarding the tower, but not before Alenka fell in battle. A strange rock held by the druid dwarf Tordek reacted with Alenka and the 299 souls swirled out of her before being infused into a new Soul Star. Unfortunately, Alenka died as her own spirit simply faded out of existence.

As Reylendor had no faith in the Order, he suggested they not relinquish the Soul Star to them and the others seemed to agree. Further exploration of Relith Tower revealed a room on the top floor with a complex circle of magic and several pillars with spaces to place something. The Star was placed into one of these pillars and all the souls it contained were shot out into the world, including the one the Order most feared the escape of: a powerful dragon and general of Tiamat.

Since Reylendor was made aware that Relith Tower and the first Soul Star were crafted by a people who journeyed to the Material Plane from the stars, he wonders if a certain otherworldly artificer might have any input.

<u>Synopsis</u>:

So on may 10th a group of us went to Seglock.

We were told some drakoth had destroyed a village not to far from Seglock by some survivors holed up in Seglocks library. An elderly woman spoke to us and warned us of the danger. A priest by the name of Echamus traveled with us from the library to the village. While fighting the Drakoths the priest joined the fight and turned into a "whitish dragon" and grabbed one of the Drakoth and flew up. Arguing could be heard in draconian from the two but couldn't be understood. Eventually the dragon dropped the drakoth and flew away. Another Drakoth mentioned that "The one that waits will see you soon. After killing the remaining Drakoth and returning to Seglock we conversed with the elderly woman yet again and asked her some questions. Her name is Madame Webe ,a lunalwn priest, and told us the Echamus was a name of legends. He is supposedly "the moon child" or also known as The son of the moon dragon Eros. We also question about "The one who waits" she told us that he is thier peoples boogeyman and nothing more than a creature of darkness ment to scare little kids. When asked where this creature dwells we were told. The tales claim that it lurks in the dark places, preying on those that stray from the blessed light of the moon. But one day it will no longer be satisfied with just that, and will come into the light, setting in motion a series of events that aren't good.

<u>Synopsis</u>:

Delphi made a deal and freed Tasha’s pet god of death. After successfully killing Tasha’s 40 babies 2 out of the 3 nights. Ensign got half of a scrying orb to help fix his. And Durian learned about his egg. Oh and Cynthia now has a beetle mount.

Ensign's log, stardate 5.13.22, for Captain Saldani, should it be recovered:

I was requested to assist Delphi, a friend who I had established communications with earlier, in a mission to return a trophy from a large green dragon to a female mage known as Ygilwiv. Delphi hoped to receive a promised reward, 3 wishes , for killing the dragon, but this required staying with the elder mage 3 consecutive nights. Hoping to recover the wishes for Delphi and her compatriots who eliminated the dragon, she, myself and Durian (another contact) enter the woods to find the mage's location.

After searching for some time, we came across a strange wooden shack suspended in the air on avian legs. Upon finding a way on to the porch, we were able to enter the doorway, which acted like a portal to an inner dimension. Upon entering, we discover two other acquaintances, Herneldo and Cynthia, who agree to assist us in whatever duties we need to perform over the next 3 nights.

We are introduced to the two occupants of the hut. Ygilwiv (who we learn later is also known as Tasha, The Witch Queen, etc.) is a dimensional traveler and powerful user of local arcane magics. We also meet a being known as "Silence", who we learn later is a spiritual entity associated with death, who had been bound to the hut by Ygilwiv. Ygilwiv needed us to feed a collection of 40 entities which had the body of large insectoid larva with the heads of humanoid infants. The infantile larva needed (by Ygilwiv's report) to feed on energy in a location known as Hades, then (due to their demonic origins and being bound to the hut) needed to be killed to return them to their enclosure. Each night we were able to successfully recover all the infants, we would be granted a wish.

While we accomplished this, the non-corporeal entity known as "Silence" requested the aid of the away team. They needed us to invoke their name in order to recover strength, and in return they would assist us in the evening infant round-up. The team agreed, which seemed to bolster the entity's power.

I will review the results of the tests and the wishes at the conclusion of this log, but I wanted to make note of other interesting facts gathered from the knowledgable mage Tasha. Tasha recounted about how many of the dimensions she had traveled to had beings of similar natures. Dragons, she used as an example, could be found in many types across the multi-verse and beyond. On a tapestry she referenced during this story, there were examples of many types of dragons (I should note, Captain, that there was an image which was obviously a Relic Dragon. This was the first time I had met someone who identified anything from our part of space).

I informed Tasha the details of Relic dragons, and she became fascinated, having never seen a Relith before. She recounted having come across a tower known as the "Relith Tower", but had not been there in millennia (I began at this point to theorize that this entity was more ancient and powerful than they appeared). I agreed to a cloning procedure so that Tasha could expand their scientific knowledge of Relith species, and in exchange was given compensation to the amount that I had surmised would be needed to repair the damaged artifact recovered from our last adventure.

After 3 nights, we were able to complete Tasha's task twice, and rewarded with 2 wishes. the first was used on behalf of one of Delphi's companions who was not there to gain their reward. It was wished that they would become very strong and smart (as well as other physical traits). The second wish was used to free the bound entity previously mentioned (Silence), who I cannot forsee ever becoming a problem in the future.

<u>Synopsis</u>:

On the events of 5/17/22, as recorded by Cecil T Puddingtonsworthshire XIX, Esq.

Upon hearing of the dastardly deeds of a nearby Goblin Horde that was terrorizing the local countryside, the illustrious Cecil T Puddingtonsworthshire (of House Puddingtonsworthshire) recruited a band of misfits and n’er-do-wells to confront the menace under his command. Under Cecil’s brave and inspiring leadership, a two pronged assault was launched against the cowardly and slow-witted goblins, who were easily outmatched by the stunning display of leadership and marksmanship of everyone’s favorite Gnome. Under his auspicious guidance, none of the rank and file of Cecil’s platoon suffered any serious injuries, except when they failed to heed the orders of their munificent leader.

This battle action, which will be studied by Gnomish scholars for generations, resulted in the eradication of approximately 55 goblins, with their leader captured and delivered back to headquarters for interrogation.

After the battle, a scouting party, bravely led by the venerable Cecil himself, located the base of operations of these goblins and their orcish compatriots. However, cowardice of the band of misfits prevented a full scale assault, of which the Gnomish leader would most certainly have been successful.

Post the Events of 5/17/22; Concerning Reylendor Aspenmorrow’s Actions

Post battle debriefing, Reylendor asked around about Ensign’s location and learn he was in the Loxodon town where they had first met. Apparently, he had taken to helping the local Apothecary in exchange for space in the backroom. The two analyzed vials of mutant Goblin saliva Reylendor obtained from the lead Goblin. He also learned that Relith Tower shared the name of Ensign’s home, to which he wished to return. In exchange for his insight with both the saliva and tower, Reylendor marked Relith’s location on Ensign’s map, but not before warning him to be wary of any wandering spirits.
<u>XP Gained:</u> 910 each

<u>Synopsis</u>:

From Vadeth: Vadath and several others were employed by the Order of the Watchful Eye to hunt down Horatio Chesire. The captured goblin boss had given good information on his whereabouts as well as a potential secret entrance. The compound was stormed by the adventurers and a very roided up Goliath Barbarian. All enemies were slaughtered without prejudice and Horatio Chesire himself was successfully captured and has been brought back to Gammelgard for questioning!

Spinel's hastily scrawled notes: We gave a barbarian speed juice and Falgrim's fire while raging. I mostly watched the show. Dancer set a trap on the cave's secret exit. Horatio almost got away in a mechanical contraption, but instead he got stuck and then fell into the ocean. We muscled him out of there. Where did these cheshire orcs and goblins get their shiny armor? Maybe Horatio will know. I don't think I know enough to use this double-ended glaive well. Nockdus says cheshire goblin flesh tastes bad.
<u>Characters</u>: Dancer of the Boreal Valley, Buho, Trina, Nockdus, Ensign, Dur'kalak

<u>XP Gained:</u> 900 each

<u>Synopsis</u>: With Horatio secured and turned over to the Order of the Watchful Eye, Nockdus went with Dancer back to the Hallasan refugees and met of with some adventurers ready to escort the them back to their village. After a quiet journey with the said refugees back to their homes the party became aware of a mystical sage staying at nearby encampment who's location was protected from attacks by dragons. The party traveled to this encampment and met with the sage. Dur'kalak came face to face with the warrior protecting the encampment who turned out to be someone familiar with his past. The two pledged to take down the dragon that destroyed their home together. After a short conversation with some of the other people in the encampment the party then participated in a mystical ceremony where each party member had the privilege to ask one question to be answered by the Moon God. Ensign found out some information about the people hoping to find him and return him home. During this ceremony as the magical energies flowed through the space, Nockdus suddenly felt alive again. He inhaled deeply since it suddenly became necessary to for him to breathe once again. He asked for a piece of chocolate from Buho, ate it, and was once again able to savor the flavors that can only come from a dedicated confectioner. After the ceremony concluded, Nockdus was moved to tears from getting to experience the feeling of being alive once again and the heartbreak of it's subsequent loss.

After the ceremony the party was given a powerful relic, the Moonwell. This silver basin resembleing a small bowl on a stand is capable of providing protection from dragons in a one mile radius. After much debate and discussion, the heroes of Quelmar voted as a community to place the Moonwell in the city of Seglock in hopes of creating a safe place for refugees fleeing the chaos the dragons of the realm had been stirring up lately.

<u>XP Gained:</u> 810 each

<u>Synopsis</u>:

Falgrim introduced the party to the elf Aldean El’Naddath of House Kessaria (Emissary of the Wold Order and member of the Sylvan Order), who shared how the renowned elven paladin (and Commander of the Sylvan Order) Sir Beren Cohnal's crypt had been desecrated. He gave the party amulets from his order, which later opened the tomb’s door. The party spoke to his spirit, who said that all but the entry room had been desecrated and only four of his guardians remained. The party pushed on, clearing out cheshire goblins and orcs. The team discovered many empty, raided tombs in the crypts. It seems their armor and weapons had been taken and warped by the monsters. Beren's spirit gave the party his blessing to remove items from his remaining lieutenants in thanks for clearing out his crypt. On the party’s return, Aldean identified the impressive array of found items, and provided personalized letters to those with items marked by his order, so that no elf would question their use in non-elf hands.

Spinel’s hastily scrawled notes: Fancy elf man talks a lot. Dancer really wanted to follow tracks around the crypt, but instead Percy just opened the door. Goblins are smelly. Vadeth really wanted to ride the goblin’s mount, but it didn’t end well. But we found where the cheshire armor was coming from. And now I have a nice fiery sword. Spirit man couldn’t eat Buho’s gift of chocolate. When we got back, Buho set a big fire trying to do more cooking. My fur smells like smoke. Maybe I’ll sleep outside tonight.

<u>XP Gained:</u> 785 each

<u>Synopsis</u>:

* This adventuring party came together and met when they all independently answered a public posting to take care of a matter of national safety for Isonhound. The posting requested them to meet at an inn in Gammelgard called The Second Breakfast.
* Once there, they are greeted out of the rain, offered a table, asked about their food order, and all wait for their contact to arrive, an older dwarf named Dippy, whom all the staff in the inn seem to hate.
* Dippy reveals that he is a member of the Order of the Watchful Eye, and that the Order has been attempting to deal with some 'Gooby Goblin Creatures.' Dippy also informs the group that the last known location of some of these creatures was in an underground 'blunker' in a recently abandoned village known as Graften.
* The group finishes talking and gathering information before bidding Dippy a wishful goodbye and headed south towards Graften.
* When they got to the village, the group took a careful, stealthy approach. They investigated a few of the buildings through the windows, only to find them ransacked and abandoned as Dippy said they would be. Eventually, they narrowed down on a building that they believed to be the bunker, and used magic to open the door from the distance. It wasn't until Omni stood in front of the door that an ambush began.
* A few goblins filter out from the other buildings, closing in on the group. However, the party manages their own and stays in relative good health. Between intimidation from their sheer power, and actually killing some of the goblins, the party fares well.
* After a few rounds of combat, however, three Drakkoths appear. Nockdus recognised one in particular, and informed the group to watch out for the Drakkoth's weapons in melee.
* The fight continues on, with the three factions fighting all against one another. This time, however, the party doesn't fare quite as well, getting much more hurt this time.
* Cecil, being the brave leader that he was, utilised a tactical retreat into one of the abandoned buildings, which the Drakkoths were too large to enter. There, he used his arcane abilities to throw a chair out a window, smacking one of them on their head.
* Meanwhile, Barbie used her intense strength and might to intimidate one of the goblins, effectively turning them into a minion to do her bidding, and convinced some other goblins to stay away from her and give her information on the location of the bunker.
* Elric Shadowslither Darkheart Overlord of Nightmares and his patron sword THE SLAAT graciously help Delphi in an altercation with one of the other Drakkoths. Elric, using all of his swordsman might, delivers a death blow, leaving the body cleaved at his feet.
* Upon seeing their compatriot fall in addition to Elric Shadowslither Darkheart Overlord of Nightmares' taunting, the other Drakkoths decide to rush him. This gives Omni an opportunity to attack, and delivers another death blow.
* The third and final Drakkoth, upon fully realising his situation, decides to flee off into the woods. Nockdus in one final act, decides to shoot blindly into the tree line and manages to clip the Drakkoth one final time.
* The group then heals up, and investigates the bunker to find many many dead bodies. They collect whatever loot they can, and return to Gammelgard to report back in to Dippy and collect their reward.
Session 23: Mentztonalcoatl
<u>Characters</u>: Karl (Starting XP 2700), Aesir (Starting XP 2700), Cyan, Joshua, Cynthia, Silent,

<u>XP Gained:</u> 1215 Each

<u>Synopsis</u>:

* The party responds to a posting by the Wold Order. We first spent a hot minute at the new temporary headquarters, a staging ground while the Greedy Greeners find their footing in city. They especially were interested in the dark altar that Delphi set up that invokes the death god of Silent.
* Silent met the adventurers and encouraged them to go on this quest, maybe she even anticipated some might die? Who knows!
* When they got there, it seemed very cut and dry: Traps, hallways, baddies in the form of Cult of the Dragon Cultists. But ultimately the team was green in a very different way: Their inexperience and susceptibility to impulsive decisions (playing loud music in the caves, brute forcing their way through traps, and attacking/blowing up suspicious things without hesitation) caused them to not only miss a short rest, but trigger a number of things that hurt them along the way.
* Eventually, 3 suspiciously dramatic Tiamat Cultists fought and tested them, and within 2 rounds, most of the team was dying no thanks to all the traps they had already triggered. They fought hard and took down one of the Cultists in a fiery rage of vengeance, causing all of the mages to flee. Cyan permanently went down in this battle.
* As the players reached the end of the dungeon, they realized the Dragon of this hoard was not a real dragon, but in fact a River Dragon, a type of sea-serpent like dragon, that was being used as a Stand-in over the hoard. However, the River Dragon taught the team how to take down the illusions of the dungeon (by de-attuning the Selune Splinter) and gave up the hoard to the victorious heroes.
*The River Dragon gave the team a mission to revive his daughter, but that's for the players to disseminate and we'll see if it ever actually comes up again. They have to collect all the missing bones of his daughter who have been collected by adventurers and dungeon delvers in the past

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

Our heroes once again took a job posting from the Order of the Watchful eye and set out in an attempt to find where the Chesire orcs may or may not be breeding their Fanged Mounts. It was also discovered that these mounts were in some way of draconic lineage though mutated by Chesire. It wasn't long before the encampment was found and our heros began their assault. Though it was a brutal fight eventually our heroes came out on top. Even so much as being able to bring back a tougher breed of Chesire Orc and one of the fanged mounts. Upon their return to the city a giant shadow engulfed them. Over head loomed a giant multi headed dragon that began to assault the city of Gammelgard. The Dragon laid waste to a tower within the city and before long flew away. A familiar voice could be heard over the destruction. It was the voice of Horatio Chesire himself yelling from the back of the massive multi headed dragon about the devastation Tiamat will bring forth. "And the might of Tiamat can not be resisted! I shall Purge you all in her chaos<u>!"</u>

Sessions 25: The Gala of Protection
<u>Characters:</u> The Quelmar Community at large

<u>DM</u>: All

<u>Dragons Encountered</u>: Tiamat

<u>XP Gained</u>: N/A

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

To thank the heroes all throughout Isonhound, the City of Seglock hosted a small festival in their honor. While the intention was to both thank the heroes and help lift the spirits of the community who had faced numerous threats recently, the outcome would become marred with tragedy by the events that unfolded in the early evening of that day.

Booths filled a small courtyard to the north of Seglock University (home of the three time regional Olympia Magisteria champions, the Fighting Owlbears) providing ample food, games, and other various form of distractions to the citizenry. Local bards like “Skinny Leonard” and the band “The Bare-knuckled Laddies” preformed live for eager audiences. As smiles were shared and revelry was made, some of the heroes being celebrated partook in the festivities.

<u>The Beirgarden:</u>

Adventurers like Vadath, Karl Anders, and Trina decided to partake in some of the potent potables being offered. Some drank mead and wine to be social, some drank “Utter Moron” to tempt fate, and some drank actual dragon’s blood so they could talk to the monstrous mount they had recently captured.

<u>The Dunking Booth:</u>

Adventurers like Reylendor, Tristram, and Linden took turns trying to drop the boisterous town crier into some Seglock river water at the dunking booth. As toss after toss consistently missed the target the ostentatious man continued to taunt the participants, emboldened by their failures. It was not until Delphi approached the line and casually tossed a single pitch toward the awaiting target did the town crier finally fall into basin below him. There was much rejoicing!

<u>The Cooking Contest:</u>

Six adventurers entered into the cooking contest at the festival, each bringing a unique dish reflective of themselves to the judging table. Linden came in third with her vegetarian inspired Feywild Meet Pie where the buttery, flaky crust contained a savory sauce and a mouth watering aroma. Balgeiros came in second with his Eladrin Ale and its surprisingly pleasant chewy sediment that initially looked off putting. Similarly, the initially concerning dish of Steak Tartare offered by Nockdus came in first place even though it was a well presented plate of raw ground beef and vegetables topped with a raw egg yolk. Sadly, Percy was disqualified from the competition when his 5 Alarm Dragons Breath Chili caused numerous judges to seek medical attention from its scorching spices.

<u>Arm Wrestling:</u>

Over at the Arm Wresting Table Dur’Kalak made ready to take down any challenger foolish enough to face him. Karl Anders responded with a “Hold my Utter Moron” and took him up on it. Whether it was genuine or just for the theatrics, Dur’kalak curtailed any forward momentum Karl Anders tried to muster and slowly forced the other man’s hand to touch the table and thereby solidified his claim as champion of the Gala.

<u>Gambling:</u>

Some adventurers like Reylandor, Delphi, and Balgerious thought the gods of luck were on their side and entered into the raffle. Sadly, luck was not in their favor and each ended up without winning tickets. Delphi further tempted luck by attempting to “Roll Higher than Stan.” She lost again and was forced to wear a bright green floppy hat and dance a silly dance. Delphi leaned into the challenge and began to prance around the area like a rainbow colored zebra in a circus prompting Stan to applaud her efforts and declare the challenge “Well met.”

Session 25a: Center Gate of Seglock
<u>XP Gained</u>: 1707

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

After the initial welcoming distractions of the Gala of Protection that each of the party members participated in, there was a sudden crash of chaos as the various factions causing strife around Isonhound began a coordinated attack around the three southern gates of the city of Seglock. Seven of the adventurers attending the Gala rushed toward the center of the commotion at the middle gate as others spread out to the two gates on the left and right sides respectively.

The center group initially encountered a significant cadre of alchemically enhanced goblins commonly known as “Cheshire Goblins.” As swords clashed and spells were slung a professor associated with the nearby university exited a nearby building with a combat capable automaton by his side. The party watched in jubilant surprise as the automaton sprayed some of the injured goblins with a cone of alchemical fire that initially burned them but then caused the goblin’s blood to boil, their bodies begin to loose cohesion, and then ultimately burst into a pile of fetid goo. When the goblins were all dispatched, a mighty roar was heard from above. The professor urged the party to swiftly move into a nearby building, but before they could everyone was raked with a devastating poisonous attack breathed down on the area by a multiheaded dragon flying overhead.

The party scrambled into the nearby building that the professor had escaped into and pulled those who were lying unconscious on the ground into the safety of the structure. Taking but a moment to cast healing spells and drink potions to recover from the recent events, the party found themselves in an alchemical laboratory belonging to the university. The professor aiding them was responsible for alchemical coursework for the university but was also studying some of the creations menacing the region. As the party looked toward an unconscious drakkoth secured to a converted pool table in the corner, the professor explained that he had recently discovered a reagent that when it comes in contact with the blood flowing through a Cheshire Creation causes a devastating chemical reaction that ultimately kills them. The key to this reagent though is that the target must be injured enough for the chemical to cascade throughout the target’s body. The professor distributed some doses of the reagent to the party members, refilled his automaton with more of the reagent, and urged the party to progress toward the breach where the intruders were emerging from.

Charging into the next room on the way to the center gate the party encountered three of Cheshire’s most deadly creations, dual-bladed glaive wielding guardians. The professor nearly died before the party were able to dispatch the monstrosities, but the reagent was proving to be effective on the hulking brutes as well. The party pressed on and met up with another professor, a dryad responsible for druidic studies, and their own automaton companion as well. The group soon approached the breach as a mass of goblins and guardians burst through the rubble. The magical members of party and the professors produced a devastating combination of spells to styme the intruders in their tracks allowing the “Hackers” and automatons to quickly dispatch them.

With the rush of combat dissipating, the party worked with the professors to fortify the broken gate and plug the holes created in the initial moments of the invasion. As the city guard came to relive them, the party members took only a moment to bind their wounds and catch their breath before dealing with the incredible aftermath from the day’s events.

Session 25b: Left Gate of Seglock
<u>XP Gained</u>: 1430

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

*Players watched the recap/intro video to get caught up especially on the Cheshire Goblins
*We started our festival going straight into the BANG explosion. Players ran down the street as the festival closed up shop.
*Inside the gates of Seglock Univeristy, this group was the closest to the building that Cheshire/Dracohydra was infiltrating so they got a good show of it, and had to dodge a prismatic breath spray first thing, which already put the team in terrible shape (two went down).
*Now with the team in bad shape, Kyle helped the Dragonflesh Abomination make his debut, crashing out of a nearby building damaged by the siege. It began a chase of the players through the city as they tried to avoid its acid spit and the various obstacles of a city under peril.
* After 5 rounds (~2 hours) they finally escaped him, and in the long, dramatic, and daunting chase, also managed to get him down a bit of health (though he has regeneration so it wasn't as much as they'd have liked)
*Once they caught their breath and could effectively heal from the Tiamat attack and damages incurred in the chase, they witnessed the Cheshire Goblins also heading towards a Firearm warehouse.
*When given the choice to chase the goblins to the warehouse or to head back all healed up to kill the Kaiju, they votied 4-3 in favor of finishing off the Abomination
*They found him in the middle of a battle with city forces, and used their surprise round to knock him down a notch. After 2 rounds of actual battle, they managed to finish him off, with one player taking the acid glands.
*Much discussion over the Moonwell, was it working? Was that Tiamat? Is this abomination considered a dragon? Who knows!
Session 25c: Right Gate of Seglock
<u>Characters:</u> Patches, Omen, Vadath, Linden Rue, Tristram, Delphi, Amund Zen

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u> This group of adventurers cut their festivities short when a huge explosion was heard from the direction of Seglock University. They rushed through the Right Gate into a dining hall, where Cheshire's goblins and a few orcs armed with projectile weapons were attacking students and professors. One student was unfortunately killed before two more could be rescued, with the aid of Professor Galloway. This professor was so thankful for their help that he later rewarded each adventurer with a Scroll of Boiling Oil. He claimed that the goblins were raiding the university for alchemical supplies and research notes, and these creatures were seen dashing between doors in the dormitory. The group didn't make it to the end of the living quarters where the professors lived, but on the way they did encounter a massive automaton followed by a very shifty Professor Hargraves. He was carrying an armful of supplies and his research notes and refused to answer any questions posed by the adventurers. Intrigued and frustrated by this, members of the Band of the Iron Hawk seized the professor and took his assets, but not before defeating the automaton. As night fell and the adventuring party retreated from the site, they noticed a multi-headed dragon flying high in the sky and breathing fire.

Session 26: Aftermath of the Attack on Seglock
<u>Characters:</u> Eurus, Omen, Nockdus, Búho, Percy, Amund Zen
<u>XP Gained</u>: Varying (4th levels proceed to level 5)

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u> The day after the attack on Seglock University, several adventurers set out to investigate what had happened. They got clearance from Mayor Towson (but no promise of payment) to ask Captain Visio about talking to the prisoner Professor Hargraves. Also in the room was "The Baron", an Eladrin Elf with not much to say of significance. Captain Visio was found at the field hospital set up initially as a refugee camp, but now being used to house the dozens of people wounded in the attack. Dr. Le'Brock, a Dragonborn doctor is currently running the field hospital and directed the heroes to the Captain. Cpt. Visio was found digging pits for the fallen, and was assisted by Amund Zen and Búho. After some convincing, he gave the adventurers permission to review Prof. Hargraves' seized belongings at the prison barracks, and handed them a "Torso Coin" as proof of his word. Nockdus had also made an impressive and successful effort of not devouring any corpses during the visit to the field hospital, where they were surrounded by dead, dying, and bleeding people.

On the way to the prison, Omen ran ahead of the party and made a wax mold of the Torso Coin for unknown reasons. The coin was brought to Lieutenant Steve Torso, who mumbled something about three other coins being in existence. He gave the heroes the keys to the contraband room, where Nockdus and Percy copied Prof. Hargraves' notes with the aid of a forgery kit and a Silent Image spell. Surprisingly, Amund Zen handed the key set over to Omen to sneak over to the professor's cell, "for the greater good." Unfortunately, the geometry of the barracks did not allow for such a thing. Búho, Omen, and Eurus convinced Ltn. Torso to let them talk to the professor for a few minutes with an incredible amount of charisma. Hargraves was again unwilling to speak much, and would only promise to give more information if released. Altogether, the party learned that (1) Professor Hargraves had no one else he could trust at the university, (2) he has a recipe for acidic glue, (3) Horatio Cheshire had tried to hire the professor but he turned him down, (4) Hargraves was Cheshire's former star pupil, and (5) he had notes on several years of research describing how to add or remove mutations. Upon leaving the barracks, Nockdus was able to pickpocket the Torso Coin from Ltn. Steve Torso, returning the number of coins out in the wild to four.

The adventurers then went on to the university to gather more information. A few members of the party split off to go to the school spirit store and buy some Fighting Owlbears merch. The others spoke with Magus Varellion Savynne, a tall, bald, and feminine appearing elf bearing markings of the Geodaury. She informed the heroes that Hargraves had been temporarily fired from the university at an earlier point, but was rehired on conditions of good behavior. It also came up in conversation that one of the warehouses that was looted in the city had advanced projectile weapons (guns). The party was reunited by an incredibly eager and bald associate professor with words floating above his head, who insisted on introducing the Magus with great bravado. Savynne was unimpressed by this display and curtly dismissed the professor. At the conclusion of their discussion, the party made its way back to the mayor to reveal what they had learned. Búho was drawn toward a partially wrecked building by the smell of decadent chocolate. It was here that he was reunited with his former mentor, who had started him on the path of becoming a world-class chocolatier. She revealed to him the secret ingredient that was missing in his recipes and leading to gastrointestinal distress - carob. With a face full of happy tears, Búho requested that he travel with her for a while and she agreed.

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

*Joshua receives a vision in his coma: <blockquote>"You see before you the end of all things. The great black dragon rises up from the dark depths, its eyes glowing with a terrible green light. A tower looms in the background, its top disappearing into the clouds. The mountains trembles and explodes, sending a shower of rock and dust into the air. The world is coming to an end. In the distance, you can make out five figures dressed in purple, green, white, blue, and orange. They're calling something, but you're deaf. They must be doing this. You can't understand how; it must be their fault. Their fault! Their fault! This is their fault! The end of the world is their fault! But you can stop it! You must stop the big black dragon before it is too late!” • </blockquote>
*The team headed out towards the Relith Tower, possibly the tower from the vision, near the Barrier Peaks. But failed their traveling/survival checks and got lost.

*Failing their travel checks, and landed themselves in the Burning Forests, ambushed by the dragon living there.
*Spent the rest of the session fighting said Black Dragon, they got it down to 10 HP before it flew away. They had 2 FULL ROUNDS of trying to take out the last 10 HP but failed every roll.
*Dur'kalak himself showed up at the store and we dropped a Dur'kalak on the board in that last round to even let him take a shot and get the killing blow. But he rolled low too.
*Dragon got away, everyone vowed to kill that dragon no matter what because it almost killed everyone several times.
*They still were able to track the Dragon thanks to a well timed "Hunter's Mark", and went to its hoard, raiding what little was left there as the Dragon is moving to a new secret location.

* The party met in the Trout's Toe, the tavern in Seglock where Professor Galloway thanked Linden and Tristram for coming out and accepting this meeting. Galloway's contact with the Wold Order was looking for new heroes to delve into the FireGates (See Session 23)
* Once the team was formally introduced in the tavern, they went out to the dungeon (after causing a tavern fire they extinguished), did a lot of scouting around, and ran into SRO THE GREAT who told them they shouldn't be fighting a Dragon in it's own lair (Rule #1 baby!)
* After more scouting, the team found out the dungeon had imprisoned a dragon to serve as the main threat. This made Sro pissed. He cited the "Law of Consequences", essentially stating "These guys did a fucked up thing, that's a good dragon that's now an enslaved servant of the Wold Order, who turned out to be behind the whole thing" and Sro ordered the team to take down the dungeon and free the dragon (with a 22 rolled by Linden on a dispel magic to break the magic bind)
* After lots of very deadly fighting with the baddies inside the dungeon, they raided the hoard that was set up there, learning that it was a fake hoard that the Wold Order puts in place as part of the testing grounds. They took the hoard, and even got to fly Sro back to Seglock.

* The players were attending the final game of the tournament when the tournament director is seen running thought the stands with a panicked look on her face. It turns out that the two teams that were supposed to be in the finals are missing.
* Because this final game is like the Super Bowl, the director needed anyone to take the field or else risk the crowd's anger and the loss of financial assets. The Adventurers agree to participate in the last game as "Celebrities."
** Game 1 - Played in the "Giant Chemistry Set" arena. Seglock crushes Gammelguard.
** Game 2 - Played in the "Giant Ant Mounds" arena. Seglock barely beats Gammelguard again
** Game 3 - The two teams teamed up to play against a group of veterans. Played in the "Eldritch Nightmare" arena. It is a tight fight but then the adventurers pull out an amazing series of plays and defeat the Veteran team
<u>XP Gained</u>: 1643

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

Mother Love, a well-loved alchemist who gathers herbs in the swampy wilderness near the crossroads Apara, requested the help of adventurers with a dangerous task: driving off a dragon. A black dragon had recently made its home in the surrounding swamps, not only making the area far too dangerous to gather herbs in, but also disrupting the natural state of many of the plants through its widespread lair effects. (This second effect was confirmed when Pot'tu'N'Kobb consumed some and had his tongue numbed instead of the expected taste of a healing herb.)

Answering the call, the group of adventurers arrived in Apara and met with Mother Love, who promised very little in the way of rewards, but offered her services as an apothecary and to bake some pies. The party was quickly pointed in the right direction and went off into the swamp.

The swampy terrain and regional effects of the dragon's presence made the trip take longer, but the party arrived at the target cave about an hour before sundown. Despite half the party acknowledging the risks of taking on the dragon in its lair, the party pressed on and entered the cavern. Battle was joined, but the dragon surprisingly seemed as interested in turning the group away and against Mother Love as it was in fighting. Only after it was clear that a fight was inevitable did the dragon fully engage. Tristram utilized a pre-prepared tiny hut spell to provide a safe harbor for the party to recover and stay safe from breath attacks during the combat. The battle was fierce, but the adventurers prevailed without losses (not even familiars and drake companions).

Dur'kalak immediately set to tearing the carcass apart while the majority of the party searched for the dragon's horde. The horde itself was relatively small (having recently been moved) but it also contained a clutch of 3 dragon eggs which Linden Rue, Pum, and Tristram have taken custody of. While debating the best approach to handling the eggs, a wave of energy washed over the group, marking each of them with some kind of magic mark, and granting them all access to a small bit of magical power.
<u>XP Gained</u>: 1150

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

* The players killed a bunch of Cheshire creations! With Drakkoth Blood a plenty from the University, one-shotting Fang Mounts, Cheshire Goblins, and Glaive Guardians has become more sport than work.
* That is...until the blood ran out. When they went back to Professor Nguyen at the university for more Drakkoth Blood they were told there was no more...the projects funding was all taken away. The Baron explained his personal decisions in a town meeting, but the players were able to cunningly persuade him to start putting money back into the Drakkoth blood projects.
* The Baron also made it clear to the adventurers that there are many in the city, especially in his circles, that fear the presence of more and more "Heroes" and "Guilds" is drawing unnecessary attention to Seglock, especially as rumors of eggs are abound.
* Until the lab experiments can be back up to speed, the group was approached by the Protectors of the People, a grassroots organization looking to expel Dragons from the land, as well as "Dragons", a term they're using to describe the powerful money hoarders of Isonhound like the Baron.
* The PotP had a great map tracking Drakkoth migrations, and pointed the team in the direction of a group that he believed was going to ambush the city of Raritan, the team followed the tracks, and fought the Drakkoth, ultimately leaving 2 alive: one for Seglock, one for PotP. The Blood is back and flowing for everyone!

<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

* The team was summoned by a scholar from Deeplake who had been studying an old text, which referred to a dragon that could sway the outcome of the war. He discovered a riddle that he was having trouble with, but deciphered that the first lines referred to Direheart Pond, nearby.
* At the pond, the team solved the riddle, which involved Elric kissing a frog, who turned out to be a satyr called the Curator. The Curator revealed that he planted the riddle and claimed he had a mutual self interest with the adventures. He said he is a curator of a place of "pure evil", the Shadow Forge, which is capable of producing some pretty nasty creatures. He said that Horatio Cheshire has found the forge, and worried that he would create even more Cheshire monsters. The Curator required a fey key to return to the forge and ensure the forges remain shut down. However, he gave the key to a dragon called Uhlm for short (Uhlm doesn't like being referred to by his full name) for safekeeping. The curator opened a portal to a town in the plane called "Thaer".
* Thaer, the adventures learned, is populated by about 15 people that....are weird disturbing replicas created by Uhlm. The plane seemed to end at the small town's borders. Uhlm did indeed have a fey key, but informed the team that 3 keys were needed to access the Shadow Forge...and no other keys exist. But Uhlm could essentially revert time in the plane, sending the team (key in hand) back to the portal to once again find Uhlm (who wouldn't remember anything) and another instance of the key...twice.
* Each time the plane was reverted, however, it started to fight back. Much fighting and yelling ensued, including one moment where Eurus threw a death knight over the edge of the town. The other death knight banished Ona back to Deeplake with one of the keys. Ultimately three keys were obtained. Spinel, and later Ahseer and Delphi, attempted to persuade Uhlm to return to world of mortals and help them in their cause, but he would not be convinced. Uhlm helped usher the adventures to the portal, before the second death knight could cause more damage. The team met up with Ona, and turned over the 3 fey keys to the Curator.
<u>Important Things that Happened:</u>

The session begins inside The Melted Muse, a well regarded fondue establishment in the town of Launda. There a group of travelers are being hailed as heroes for warding off the attack of a blue dragon. As a reward for their actions they are given their selection of cheeses to sample including a form of imported cheddar. Almost as soon as the last one of them selects their meal an explosion ruptures the side wall of the establishment sending melted cheese flying into the Melted Muse. At the source of this explosion is a furious looking red dragon who has landed where the large pot of melted cheese had been sending its contents pouring into the nearby restaurant and injuring two of the adventurers. Some of the inhabitants of the restaurant attempt to escape the crumbling building while simultaneously trying to rescue the unconscious townsfolk nearby. Meanwhile the remaining adventures still inside the Melted Muse distract the dragon with a flurry of magical attacks and a javelin skewered with cheese, which unfortunately failed to blind or even hit the dragon as it was intended. In a rage, the dragon breathed a fiery breath into the tavern hitting two of the adventurers and knocking one of them unconscious (the rather fragile Wizard Naxxradormu). The red dragon then moved on to rampage through the rest of Launda, deciding to ignore an obvious tension between them and the Dragonborn Barbarian Rex. The adventurers evacuate to a nearby airship which had appeared during the fight to rest and acquit themselves with the gnome artificer who helmed it. The artificer, named Lorita, came to thank the party for their intervention in saving her hometown and then proceeded to plead with them for aid in stopping what she thought was an even greater threat. Nearby there was a structure called the Spyre located in the direction the red dragon they had encountered came from. This potentially meant the structure was damaged and that its function, to keep the emanations from the Shadowfell sealed, could be compromised. The party agreed to investigate after they inquired further (intimidation check) about the nature of the Spyre that Lortia had kept hidden. They arrived at the Spyre to find it engulfed in shadowy energy. They attempted to latch onto the Spyre so that they could access the top, a peak some 60 feet up, and potentially gain entry to the structure. Upon doing this a burst of lightning stuck the tower severing the rope and sending one of the party members (again the very fragile Naxxradormu) falling from the ship. Thanks to the quick thinking of the Dragonborn Artificer Clank, equipped with a “canon of levitation” , Naxxradormu's fall was interrupted and he was able to ascend to the ship safely. During this time the dark energies which saturated the ground formed into several dark gelatinous creatures which the party attempted to fight to mixed results. The party decided to leave the threats outside the tower be for now and resumed their investigation of the Spyre. The party made quick work of devising an entry plan (it was quick in game, irl it took very long) involving elevating the airship using Kaba’s gust spell, 50 feet of rope, and a pair of immovable rods loaned to members of the party by Lorita. The plan worked well enough allowing the party to enter the tower while also setting off the lightning deterrent several more times including one that fried the rope they used to lower themselves into the tower which injured several party members (the immovable rods were retrieved by the flying Naxxradormu). Inside the tower they discovered a room with a large moon pool filled with inexplicable moon light. They investigated a pair of levers located on opposite walls, one which acted like a dial shifting between several positions and another a traditional on and off style switch. Before long they discovered a set of mirrors placed in the four corners of the room and shifted them to focus the moonlight into the moon pool. This caused a door filled with black ichor, which had previously fascinated members of the party and even caused one to take psychic damage from interacting with it, to dissolve. Through experimentation the party discovered the mechanism to be a way of opening portal-like connections to various rooms inside the tower, the dial shifting which room was accessible and the switch changing whether the portal was open. They investigated each room which involved a battle (more like an ambush on the parties part) with shadow tainted zombies, an encounter with more shadowy oozes (of note lightning and slashing damage caused them to split), non-trapped chest with a trapped wand of magic missile, and a corpse baring the symbol of the Wold Order. After thoroughly exploring the smaller rooms of the tower they moved onto the last, larger room. In it they discovered the remains of “Lord Believer” (as nicknamed by one of the party members) who had transformed himself into an immensely powerful, shadowy being. He attempted to deceive the party into joining him but was foiled by the successful intuition of Rex (thanks to the temporal intervention of Naxxradormu) and then revealed he manipulated the dragon into attacking Spyre. The two wizards of the party attempted to coordinate a simultaneous incendiary attack on Lord Believer but were foiled by his ability to possess one of them. The possessed adventure then attempted to use that same attack on the party but was foiled by the remaining Wizard’s counterspell. Lord Believer, in possession of Kaba’s body, fled the immediate confines of the moon pool room but was chased by Rex resulting in what can only be referred to as “Tortle Golf” as he was knocked back into the moon pool and then restrained by Rakim Greyshot’s ensnaring arrows. Meanwhile Clank and Orifyire, the Dragonborn Fighter, aided by Naxxradormu's Vortex Warp spell, discovered and subsequently placed two red gems into pedestals from which they had been displaced, likely by the earlier dragon attack. Their placement created a wall of force which separated the chamber from the moon pool and would have acted as a seal for Lord Believer if he had not been knocked back into the moon pool during “Tortle Golf.” Kaba was subsequently incapacitated releasing Lord Believer into the moon pool and he nearly cut off the portal to the chamber the rest of the party was trapped in and escaped but was apprehended by Naxxradormu's Vortex Warp spell (he failed a DC 16 check with a 15) trapping him in the chamber substantially weakened but still far from harmless. The party members now trapped in the chamber orchestrated a plan to relieve the wall of force temporarily to allow all but one party member escape who would then reengage the seal. Clank was all but prepared to sacrifice himself as the remaining party members escaped but just as the seal was reformed Naxxradormu used his final casting of Vortex Warp to transport Clank into the moon pool and sealing Lord Believer in his tomb once again. The members of the party then re-emerged from the Spyre and met up with Lorita who informed them their several hours of exploration, rest, and combat had appeared to occur in only a couple minutes. As a reward for their deeds Lortia bestowed upon them the choice for either 400 GP or the magical item which she had loaned them. Several of the party members kept the magical items including two lucky stones, the pair of immovable rods, and a lightning javelin. Naxxradormu on the other hand had taken the 400 GP but attempted to exchange it for information on a mysterious Launda Artificer. Thus this adventure concludes but not our tales of the Greedy Green.
