Jamie Faraday "The Void" is a member of the [[Free Defenders (Galik)|Free Defenders]]. They work under the [[C Team]] with fellow members Camie "Mimic", [[Echo|Echo Delphinapterus]], [[Booker|Booker Molina]], and [[Rutile]].

==Physical Appearance==
Jamie is 5'9", white, and wiry. They are 17 years old. They have dark brown eyes, blonde buzzed hair, and freckles across their face and body. They wear patched and worn clothing, often with punk patches and pins. They have an eyebrow piercing, and wear earrings that can best be described as "things they found in the trash."

As "The Void," Jamie's uniform is black and grey. They wear utility trousers that gather at the ankles, and that are easy to put on. They have padded knees sewn into their trousers, and padded elbows on their shirt for extra support. They wear sturdy boots and cover half their face with a mask. Jamie's uniform is meant to be easily put on but sturdy enough for combat, and to withstand Jamie's intense powers.

==Personality==
Jamie places their personal value on being useful, and smolders below the surface with a burning rage and strong sense of justice blended with righteous vengeance. They are loyal to their found family, and distrust most institutions and power structures.

==History==
Jamie grew up with a loving family. A naturally bright child, Jamie excelled in school. When Jamie was eight, they won a scholarship to a gifted and talented program at a mysterious private institution that their parents had never heard of. Thrilled for this opportunity for their bright child to have such an opportunity to thrive, Jamie's parents happily sent them away to the school, promising to keep in touch.

However, at this institution, Jamie's intelligence and eagerness to learn made them a target for Dr. Tobias Oxic, who pulled together the best and brightest of the best and brightest for unethical experiments and trials. Ultimately, Jamie and the other children gained super-human powers and abilities due to Dr. Oxic's experimentation. Jamie's powers, especially, grew exponentially and strangely, and their body began reacting poorly to the sheer amount of power it was now expected to contain. Eventually, Jamie and a few other children escaped from the institution. Jamie parted ways from them and lived on the streets for a few years before inheriting a tiny apartment from a bodega owner that they worked under for a time. This 450 sq foot apartment became their lifeline, and slowly Jamie gained more and more control over their power, letting the revenge they promised themselves burn quietly before realizing just how immense the toll their magic had taken on their body.

Their parents had stopped writing to them after a year at the school, and their old apartment was occupied by someone else when Jamie last checked. Their is no record of their family ever having existed in New Galik.

As a new member of the "Csad" Team, Jamie is grateful and a little bewildered by how much they love their team mates, and wants to do something good for the world and for their friends before the inevitable.
