Dinosaurs are a type of Beast that went extinct sometime during Prehistory, but the memory of their presence in the realm is preserved through the fossils they left behind as well as the ability of some Druids to wild shape into them.

History
Fossils
The fossilized bones of dinosaurs are sometimes unearthed from the ground—either purposefully or over time via erosion—and many of these unearthed bones eventually end up as exhibits in various museums across the realm. There have been some cases of spellcasters animating these displays to create a skeletal mimicry of life resembling necromancy, although they are merely animating objects as the organic material that originally composed the dinosaur bones would have been broken down and replaced with rock long ago in a process called permineralization.

Resurrection Attempts
There have been some attempts by Clonomancers to revive true dinosaurs—for reasons ranging from scientific interest to theme park tourism—but any effort to resurrect these primeval beasts inevitably results in disaster for everyone involved.
