			Billiam said the water coming from our main water source was tainted, finding half-eaten meat, rotted corpses, and bones in water. The group agreed to go upstream to see if the source of the contamination could be located. It took the party several hours to go upstream, but Finny played his Concertina to assist the others with timing and ended up expediting the trip. He also acted as eyes on the shore for anything that may potentially cause issues. Eventually, Finny came up on some weird mushrooms while on the boat - not wanting to risk touching them, he used a spare bag as he flew over to the river's shoreline and collected a few specimens… the fungi were warm while in the bag - enough that he would assume they would burn if handled with bare skin.

			The river continued to lack creatures - alive ones at least. The further up we went, the more mushrooms popped up - they were slightly differed in color but kept to warm tones, enough to assume they were all of the same type. Eedryll used his abilities as a paladin to deduce that there was internal contamination far deep underground, possibly hellfire. The mushrooms gave off similar aura. However, the Eladrin and Finny were positive this had no Fae influence.

			Later on, Ratchet and Finny noticed two large shadows in the water. With a little closer look, the two shapes in the water turned out to be mutated snakes. They were abnormally quick and appeared to have human-like faces. After some recon, the party attacked the two creatures. After a few rounds, the snakes called in reinforcements in the form of baby crocodiles.

			Several of the party went down, and Finny worked quickly to get them back up and out of the fight to recuperate by flying, healing word, and misty-stepping while the others fended the beasts off. Eventually, the baby gators start to make sounds - and the pink-colored father appeared not long after. It wasn't long before several of our members were dragged underwater while unconscious. Finny was able to rescue Eedryll - but wasn't able to get to Ratchet in time. The spellcasters did their best to hold off the beasts while Finnegan continued to provide healing.

			Eventually one of the wizards goes down, and then Eedryll again (who is then promptly dragged into deep water). Other party members continue to attack the beasts. Eventually Ratchet gets into the boat, and so does the bull gator. The gator then grab and drags Ratchet underwater - sealing their fate. Eventually, the beasts are taken care of and burned (not before Miller gets samples of the beasts, and the oversized, male gator is skinned.)

			After retrieving the body, a small service is held for Ratchet's sacrifice. A pile of bodies and dinos were found as a food pile. We returned with Ratchet's corpse (dressed for burial), the skin, and whatever useful things we could get our hands on from the pile. We then returned home and held a more dignified service for Ratchet.
