== Physical Appearance ==
Practicum and elegance are Nesta's tastes. She is mainly seen with her honey-gold hair pinned back into a bun; often messy and occasionally half-falling out on a busy day. When down, however, it is about <s>shoulder-blade length.</s> ''shoulder length - Jacob's got a fist-full one too many times and pins are a pain.''

Nesta is often brash and sometimes harsh, staring them down with deep green eyes, Her skin is pale and scattered with flecks of gold on <s>various parts of her skin</s> from a bleed scar. Her wardrobe is simple but lovely, coming from a life of many creature comforts. She often wears dusty and gentle hues, such as blues, greens, and lavenders, in clothing consisting of mainly dresses, but the occasional shirts, skirts, trousers, and coats. == Personality ==
Nesta is single-minded and driven when it comes to her field of expertise and her passions. As a professor, she was focused on keeping her information clear and concise - making sure those under her tutelage soaked up her teachings and findings. However, this was sometimes put into doubt by her sense of family duty and her heritage. She struggled with the expectations her father and her late mother had placed on her long ago, and it still stings after he discovered she had taken up a college degree instead of looking for a husband to settle with. She sought to escape the high society life and feel accomplishment outside her family legacy's shadow. ''Father died a few months after Jacob was born, even after the wedding - I think it killed him that I actually followed through with leaving and starting fresh. Just proves he didn't know me nearly as well as he thought.''

Years after, Nesta feels at peace with her small family. Though it lacked the finery she had grown up with, she loved the home her and Lincoln had made together made of simple pleasures. She takes pleasure in reading to her son, shared morning coffee with her husband, learning to bake, and convincing Lincoln to dance with her in the living room when the evening radio plays some of her favorite tunes.

== History ==
Nesta grew up in a lavish home in the Eaves with her father, mother, and two sisters. Though on the outside they were a loving family, the home was full of neglect and abuse. Her father was a shrewd businessman and was often not present as he was traveling abroad with his wife. However, Nesta's mother always made time for her three daughters, taking them to Dolly's every Wednesday to get a reprieve from the stresses and burdens of growing up within the social elite. This however, was a short-lived sanctuary once their grandfather decided to move back into his ancestral home.

The years that followed were unpleasant. Nesta's mother began to fall ill most likely due to her father-in-law's various trophies and trinkets, and died not too long after Nesta turned 14. The funeral was quiet, private, and the Patriarch and his son quickly brushed it under the rug in focus on finding the youngest generation suitable husbands to benefit the family status.

Nesta doesn't remember much of the next 4 years, having been sent to finishing school abroad - though she still has letters that were sent by her sisters. All she remembers is the funeral that was held for her Grandfather, and squirreling money away to attend college at Briargreen under her father's nose.

By 32 CR, she had graduated with her PHD in Neurosciences and Human Behavior, and began teaching at her Alma Mater. Due to some interesting turns of fate, she had been recruited by Candela Obscura not long after to assist in researching the behavioral changes and neurological effects on those who use or are affected by bleed. This in turn earned her an invitation to join the Circle of Horns & Masks. Nesta was at first skeptical of the job she was charged to do, not sure if trusting the people she was paired with was a good idea. But after the disappearance of her two sisters, she sunk in head-first into her work.

In 35 CR, Nesta had her first child, Jacob, solidifying her solidarity in leaving her past behind and embracing her new roles as mother and wife. However, her father passed away soon after from health complications. <s>Nesta attended out of respect,</s> ''I attended because Elaine begged me.'' But his death brought strain to the family. Feyre, the youngest, was bitter about Nesta abandoning them for the life of simplicity... often blaming Lincoln. The bitterness caused a rift in their relationship, not that <s>Nesta didn't try to repair things</s>. ''Fey is more stubborn than all of us - she was the closest to Father. It not a surprise his penchant for grudges and bitterness rubbed off on her so spectacularly.'' She is still in contact with Elaine, and they maintain a good relationship as they visit each other often either at the apartment, or at the Heartwood Manor. ''Elaine watches Jacob on occasion when Lincoln and I need a break. It's a shame she can't have children, she acts so close to like Mother did when Jacob's in her arms.''

In December of 36 C.R., Lincoln was killed along with 12 other people in a gas explosion at ''Merrick's Hearth'', when the bakery was destroyed in a gas explosion, leaving Nesta a widow. She is mourning, and has been cloistered within her home with her child grieving the loss of her husband. ''I wish I knew what happened.''

She knows her way around puzzles and has a almost photographic memory when it comes to history and remembering people.

== Attacks and Weapons ==
Nesta would prefer to keep her hands clean, but she doesn't shy away from violence if she needs to. Whipping up various concoctions and using the occasional knife, she can hold her own in a scrap if necessary. The only true case would be if someone or something came for her family.
