== History ==
The gang formed from a school of exotic sword duelists, a tradition they continued to practice into their criminal endeavors. Inspired by the old "[[Red Sashes (Lunas)|Red Sash Gang]]" of [[Lunas]] in the early [[PR]] era, the Red Sashes donned both their name and manner of apparel, though the modern day Red Sashes are considered an homage to the old gang, rather than a true continuation.

In 1010 PR - following the death of [[Crows]] leader Roric - the tense truce between the Red Sashes and the [[Lampblacks]] shattered, resulting in all out war breaking out between the two factions. [[The Neighbours]] were dragged to the sidelines of the conflict by the Lampblacks, however their shadowy nature kept them from open warfare.
