Tromen made powerful enemies in [[The Gathering Shadow]] by documenting their ethically grey methodologies and publishing them on tavern walls around [[Zobeck]]. [[Azazel]] would attempt to kill him by reporting him to [[The Fingers of Kragnux]].

When the Fingers tracked down Tromen, they discovered he had stolen a [[Penderlock (Weapon)|Penderlock]] and promptly beat him nearly to death. They left Tromen drifting out to sea, where he would encounter the temple of [[Tani-Wa]]. This proved to be fortunate for Tromen, as Tani-Wa was a former associate of his father, and this chance encounter would eventually pave the way for Tromen to once again encounter the man who made him a bastard.

Tromen would plot against his father and against [[The Gathering Shadow]], a nefarious course of action that ultimately led to [[The Battle of the Dao]], a slaughterhouse of battle that would mark his vengeance on his father, at the cost of his own life.[[File:Mini-tromen.jpg|thumb|297x297px|left]]
