			Around 890 PR, a group of Yuan-Ti within the crater became infected with strange technological wires that emanated from a crack in the ship. The Yuan-Ti began to worship the ship, seeing Aloysius Tempest as a god. Their efforts were egged on by a [[Succubuss]] named [[Asatya]], who was trapped in the ship and was projecting her spirit. The cult who dubbed themselves "The Cult of the Writhing Dark," worked to spread the technological corruption, only to be stopped by the combined efforts of the Mind Flayer [[Myxlixinal]] and [[The Tempest Brothers Expeditionary Company]].

			Much of the crater would be destroyed in 895 PR when the Mind Flayer ship was reactivated by Myxlixinal, but in the years after it became a hot spot for inventors and artificers who used what was left of the lost technology to start a technological renaissance.
